Serves 1 or 2
2 slices of bread and butter (crusts removed)
a little Marmite / Pickle / Bovril / Mustard (or similar choice)
4 oz cheese
1/4 pt milk
salt & pepper
Spread one slice of the bread and butter with a small amount of choice of spread i.e. Marmite! and put into a well-greased small pie dish. Add half of the cheese, and place the other slice of bread and butter on the top cover this with the remaining cheese.
Beat egg and add milk, season and then pour over the bread and butter pudding.
Bake in a moderate oven (gas 4/5 for approximately 35 - 40 minutes, or until golden brown on the top. Serve - Freezes well.
